Unless expressly agreed in writing, stated timescales are estimates and are not guaranteed completion dates.
6. Planning Permission and Building Regulations
Where applicable, projects may require planning permission, building regulations approval, structural calculations or other permissions.
The responsibility for obtaining required permissions will be agreed between Southern Elite Developments and the client before work begins.
Clients should not assume that an enquiry or quotation constitutes planning or building regulations approval.
7. Client Responsibilities
The client is responsible for providing accurate information about the property and project requirements.
The client should also provide reasonable access to the property when required and inform Southern Elite Developments of any known issues that may affect the work.
Failure to provide access, information or required approvals may affect project costs and timescales.
8. Payments
Payment terms will be set out in the applicable quotation, agreement or invoice.
Invoices should be paid according to the agreed payment schedule.
Where payment is overdue, Southern Elite Developments reserves the right, where permitted by the agreement and applicable law, to suspend work until outstanding amounts are resolved.
9. Materials and Specifications
Materials and products will be supplied in accordance with the agreed project specification where applicable.
If a specified product or material becomes unavailable, a suitable alternative may be proposed for the client’s consideration.
Any significant changes to materials or specifications may affect the project cost or timescale.
10. Defects and Workmanship
Southern Elite Developments aims to complete all work to a high professional standard and in accordance with the agreed specification.
If you believe there is an issue with completed work, you should notify us promptly so that the matter can be inspected and, where appropriate, remedied.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any statutory rights you may have as a consumer.
11. Damage to Property
Reasonable care will be taken when carrying out work at a property. However, construction and renovation work can involve unavoidable disruption, dust, noise and access requirements.
Any pre-existing defects or conditions that become apparent during the works may need to be addressed separately and may affect the cost or timescale of the project.
12. Photos and Project Information
Where you provide photographs, plans or other information relating to your project, you confirm that you have the necessary permission to provide that material to us.
We may use project photographs for business or promotional purposes only where appropriate permission has been obtained.
13. Intellectual Property
